As urban re-development of the northern cities takes place the economic viability of areas of surrounding countryside are caught between the collapsing rural economy and the transient economy of tourism. Farmers the world over are reinventing ‘farming’, often diversifying into leisure and other non-food areas. Now owned by The National Trust, Low Parkamoor has been recently leased by Grizedale Arts who invited us to develop its use and future potential.
