One evening we hosted filmmaker Ken Russell, artist Olivier Plender, the Kibbo-Kift radical camping group, local volunteers and several journalists from London. A roaring fire and warm food welcomed our guests following their torch-lit climb through the rugged landscape on foot. The unique combination of romantic landscape, vernacular architecture, stories of the past and questions of the future brought the farmhouse to life with conversation.
